Back at it for 2021

Hey there!

Wow has is been a year! I'm sure we all agree. 2020 was a doozie, in fact, 2019 wasn't that great for me either. As a naturally optimistic person, all the craziness of the past few years was definitely hard to handle. After personal loss, career stress, and the giant disaster that was 2020, I truly had no energy to give to my passion, creating this blog. Despite always wanting to start my blog off strong and keep the momentum going, I felt overwhelmed and at a loss of creativity.

As wild as the past year or so has been I think that despite every challenge, I needed this break. I needed to recharge and refocus on what my priorities and passions actually are. I've decided to head into 2021 with more purpose, clarity, and putting less stress on myself to be perfect. Because let's be honest, everyones' idea of perfection has drastically changed. TheBasicAllie will serve as an extension of my creativity and a place to showcase my knowledge of retail, and my passion for offering styling suggestions and product reviews! I hope I can create a positive and safe space for expression, and create a community of people who enjoy the same things.
