With spring in full swing and summer coming up right behind it, it's the perfect time for socially distant outdoor activities. If you're in the Virginia area, I highly recommend making a day trip out to the Middleburg area to enjoy some of their many wineries! During my visit, I got some much needed relaxation; soaking up the sun and taking in all the fresh air! I did get a little sunburned, so make sure to put on sunscreen or even bring a light jacket, since it can be colder in the mountains.
My favorite winery in the area is Greenhill Winery & Vineyards; the view of the mountains, outdoor ambiance, and of course the wine, make it a fun and relaxing place to picnic and enjoy the weather. Currently, they are offering single pour wine bottles, so you can do a tasting that's Covid friendly and personalized to what you want to try. My two favorites are their Seyval Blanc and Intuition; both delicious white wines.
Another great thing Greenhill has going for them, is that you can bring outside food. I love bringing a charcuterie board of all my favorite cheeses to snack on. Trader Joe's has an amazing selections of cheese, pickles, nuts, and olives to choose from; so make sure to pack a picnic basket!
